As the world cautiously reopens and IT leaders strive to build a seamless transition into hybrid working, the focus should be firmly on building a platform for future growth and innovation. In this new world, we all learnt quickly that disruption is a constant, and IT leaders must find effective and sustainable ways to lead through uncertainty. Despite the challenges in balancing IT agility with continued governance, and creating efficient automation against a backdrop of increasingly decentralized IT spend, the opportunities for innovation and growth remain significant.

Bridging the visibility gap is a critical step in empowering your teams for a hybrid world. According to Gartner, IT teams have around 80 percent of their budget tied up in the “run” side of their business, and empowering them to have visibility of how they can effectively optimize costs allows leaders to operate strategically and repurpose budget for mission critical digital transformation projects -essential in a hybrid work place. Equally there’s the matter of managing a hybrid IT environment, which in this next phase, is expected to move beyond cost optimization to optimizing resource via automated provisioning, governance and performance observability across distributed locations.

Join Snow Software and a select group of industry peers to discuss what’s next for IT in a hybrid world and how to fund growth to drive further transformation across your organization.

When Log4j emerged, many organizations were caught “flying blind”, hoping that they could protect their applications with their traditional perimeter defense. Modern applications are extremely hard to secure because, in the cloud, the apps are no longer behind a firewall, but rather connected to services potentially everywhere. As a result, security at the gate is simply not enough, now we need visibility of what we have, how it is behaving, and how it is being used or abused. We need visibility with the context of the application in order to protect the business from emerging threats like Log4J and others.

In this session you’ll learn:

  • How applications have changed and why we need to rethink application security
  • How APIs are the key to security in the future
  • How application security requires close collaboration across dev, sec, and ops

Work is no longer a place we go – it’s something we do – anywhere, anytime. Similarly, the infrastructure that runs our applications and stores our data is no longer all located within our own four walls – more often, it is delivered as a service.

Today, we have a unique opportunity to rearchitect our networks to be as flexible and scalable as we need; to reimagine security as something built-in rather than bolted-on; and to put the user at the center of everything, creating countless possibilities and enabling the future of work.

From Prevention to Reality: Building a Cyber Resilient Organization

Strong cybersecurity is critical in the digital economy to create trusted, resilient organizations. But as the pace of digital transformation accelerates, the attack surface and vendor footprint within organizations has grown rapidly. Faced with greater exposure and more sophisticated cyber attacks, it is no longer possible for security leaders to “prevent” cyber breaches.

Security leaders must shift their focus from prevention to resilience to thrive against greater exposure and more sophisticated cyber attacks. A focus on cyber resilience empowers organizations to build stronger cybersecurity programs, protect assets and reputation, and thrive in this new paradigm. But where do you start? How do you know what KPIs to measure? How do you compare against your peers?

Join us for this executive roundtable discussion where industry leaders will explore the changing landscape towards cyber resilience and how to succeed.

In this session we will discuss:

  • Why proactive cyber resilience needs to be the new paradigm for cybersecurity leaders
  • What elements to incorporate into your performance measurements
  • How to take your first steps in building a cyber resilient organization

Key takeaways include:

  • Ideas for integrating proactive approaches into your cybersecurity strategy
  • Tips for utilizing internal and third-party data for performance metrics
  • An introduction to how Security Ratings and advanced cyber risk analytics can play a key role in your cyber resilience strategy
