Transforming IT to Create Business Growth

Whether you’re eager or anxious, cloud is coming to your organization probably more quickly than you anticipated, and outpacing the ability of existing infrastructure to fully embrace and manage its capabilities.

The control points that IT has traditionally implemented to ensure security and stability have largely disappeared. Instead of controls-based function, IT must rapidly evolve to a risk-based function that empowers business transformation goals.

We’ve all realized that traditional network security is porous, at best. But at least it provided structure and an element of control. Now we must adjust to a world that we can’t directly control.

The pace of innovation outside of IT far exceeds the internal pace. Ensuring the organization can take advantage of that innovation is fast becoming the primary goal of technology leaders.

To operate at the speed of business, IT must be able to provide reasonable access to outside services as needed, or business units will simply go forth on their own. Rather than building new systems, IT is moving into a new role of assessing the risks of consuming available cloud-services, and advising and guiding the business on appropriate usage.

On November 8, 2018, Apex Assembly in partnership with Zscaler hosted an exclusive Chief Information Security Officer Dinner in Chicago, Illinois and shared insight into key customer transformation stories and how CIOs, CTOs and CISOs are moving to enable businesses in a rapidly changing environment.

We recommend business attire. Most attendees wear suits or comparable attire. Ties are optional.

Can I bring a colleague with me?

Yes! We always urge our members to refer their colleagues! We love adding new members to the community, especially if they come highly recommended by a current member. Either have them reach out to your Apex POC or have them fill out the Member Registration Form.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

No problem! Please let your Apex POC know as soon as possible in order for us to work with the venue on providing alternate options for you at the event.

What if I want to speak at an assembly?

Apex is always looking for speakers that can contribute their valuable insight. If you would like to speak, please contact your Apex POC or fill out the Speaker Registration Form on the Assemblies page. But no need to worry, we have plenty of opportunities available at future assemblies.

I plan on being in attendance, but what if something comes up and I have to cancel?

We understand that something may come up on your calendar! Before canceling with us, please know that we will have a separate room for attendees to step out for work-related activities (meetings, emails, conference calls, etc.).
